So, I totes meant to post recipes all week long. And then I came down with the flu, and all I ate was clementine oranges for three days. I definitely wasn’t in the mood to stand in front of a hot stove/oven when I was already sweating bullets, and I’m sure no one would have wanted to eat the food I prepared anyway, no matter how many times I was washing my hands.
Well, the toddler would, but he eats stickers.
Speaking of the little man, he is turning 2 this week! I have no idea how the past year has gone by so quickly. He is getting more and more fun and just today recited the entire alphabet for me. I don’t know where that is on the scale of kid learning, but I’m still thrilled. I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he said pizza, so we’re going out to a local pizza place! I didn’t want to plan a big party this year, so we just invited some friends to come with and it’ll be very relaxed.
Monday: Homemade Chicken Strips, Parsley Potatoes
Tuesday: Rice & Beans
Wednesday: Tacos
Thursday: Son’s birthday! Pizza out at Mangia
Friday: Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup
Saturday: Kabobs
Sunday: Obama Family Chili
I hope to also get some baking done this week, but I don’t know if I will be able to get those posts up. Fingers crossed!
