Meal Plan: January 18

This is the final week of the cleanse! I did skip Saturday because of the farm tour I went on, but thankfully I don’t seem to have any ill effects of eating far too much food.

Friday I made gluten-free pizza dough, which was interesting. The texture was very different from what I’m used to in yeasted dough, and I had to press it into shape rather than rolling it out. It cooked up just fine though, and was pretty tasty with the addition of dried oregano and minced garlic to the dough.

I’m not sure I like the gluten-free baking mix, though. While it says to substitute for flour 1:1, that doesn’t seem to be the case in practice. I made some gluten-free vegan pumpkin bread last week and it was very dry – not moist at all like it should be. I’d like to work on the recipe but I’ll probably just make it with wheat flour.
