Follow Friday
Follow Friday is usually on Twitter, but I wanted to move mine over to my blog, so I can write a bit about each person. This week I’m featuring four bloggers I love.
Celiac Teen @celiacteen
Lauren is quite possibly the most poised teenager I’ve seen on the Internet. Her blog has fantastic photography and recipes for things I would never even have considered could be gluten-free and tasty. But they are (I’ve tried some!). In addition to her blog, Lauren contributed to the Blog Aid cookbook for Haiti and also collected and edited her own cookbook for Haiti relief! This girl is going to be big.
Dissertation to Dirt
I met Neysa at TECHmunch, where she revealed she works for my CSA farm, Johnson’s Backyard Garden. Neysa blogs all about life on the farm, and includes some recipes for the produce currently being harvested. I love hearing about the background of the food I’m getting from the farm, and Neysa’s inquisitiveness for farming is catching.
Fed Up With Lunch: The School Lunch Project @fedupwithlunch
Mrs. Q is another inspiration. She’s eating the lunches at her school every day and posting about it to let us know what exactly our kids are eating (or not eating, as the case may be). Despite the fear of losing her job because of the blog, she keeps at it, peppering the blog with guest posts to help us see all angles of the problems with school lunches. Just yesterday she was on Good Morning America and Jamie Oliver called her an angel. What else do you want?
Austin Farm to Table @austinfarm2tbl
Kristi is a great crusader for local food. Chances are you’ll bump into her at any of the farmer’s markets from here to San Antonio, and if there is a restaurant that uses local sources, you can bet Kristi has eaten there. Kristi’s recipes are simple, fresh, and flavorful, and combined with the local ingredients, you can’t beat that.

Megan, this was a great idea for a post. I’ve followed a few new people as a result. Thanks!
Ash
