Front Porch Foodie: Episode 101

One thing I love about being a food blogger in Austin is that there are tons of other food bloggers here. Every food event I go to, I manage to meet a few I hadn’t had a chance to talk to yet. Even though many think food blogging has jumped the shark, it certainly doesn’t seem to be losing any steam when it comes to sheer numbers.

It’s hard to keep up with all of those bloggers, though, so I’m going to be bringing you a new episode of Front Porch Foodie, a vlog featuring yours truly chatting with another food blogger. Each week we’ll learn a little about the blogger as well as enjoy a cocktail (because why not?).

In Episode 101, I sit down with Kristina of girl gone grits in her party-friendly backyard.

(Note: I’m no expert at iMovie, so please excuse my learning curve when it comes to sound and image quality.)

Royal Paloma

Posted courtesy of girl gone grits

2 ounces 100% Agave reposado tequila
1/2 ounce agave nectar
Juice from 1/2 lime
4 ounces blood orange soda

Combine ingredients with ice in a shaker and stir. Pour into highball and garnish with lime wheel.
For additional flair, rim half the glass with sugar

My husband rocks beucase he has given his all to be obedient to God Especially in our marriage and in reaching out to widows and orphans. We are very pro-life and he has wanted to take in children who were at risk (either through potential abortion or other risks). We have three natural children and so far we have adopted 5 at risk children and he has done a wonderful job of turning his normal retirement age into a time of still working (as we need the money) and caring for these children. There are still 3 of our children home and they have special needs. My hubby is great!
