It’s Apple Time

Bananas are apparently Americans’ favorite fruit, but I say we take that back with crispy, juicy apples. Apple grow all over the country (even here in Texas!), making it a fruit we don’t have to worry about importing. Plus they store really well, are one of the easiest snacks to eat, and can be used in tons of ways.

    I love apple pie with a cheddar crust. I’m a nervous pastry maker and the cheese helps make the dough more pliant. Plus, the cheese and apples taste great together!

    Ours always just get eaten. Trying my hardest to keep a large stash out of reach (top-o-fridge) so that I can make a batch of apple sauce.

    Those all look amazing! Especially that pie. :) I’ve been obsessed with applesauce for months and so that’s what I’ve been doing with my apples. And in September I love to make everything with them! Apple everything.
