Happiest of Holidays

Happy holidays from my family to yours! No matter what you celebrate, I hope you find joy and peace this season and in the new year.

When Christmas rolls around each year, I find myself reflecting on the previous 12 months. That’s only natural of course, considering it’s the time of year we often write lengthy letters to family, summing up our accomplishments with an attempt at modesty and humility.

Truthfully our year has been full of ups and downs, with job changes for both of us (me being a contractor makes for an everlasting series of ripples in our routine), the decision to refinance our house instead of find a new place, and R turning five – which is turning out to be an epic age. There have been plenty of tears and struggles, as there is in every family.

Not that I would change any of it.

I’ve been a bit quiet these past few months, not only because self-reflection that has taken up much of my thoughts.

Coming Summer 2012.
