Despite having taken multiple photography classes in college and attended many, many photography sessions at blogging conferences, I don’t consider myself a stellar photographer. Part of it is impatience – being a food blogger at my house generally means rushing to take the photo so everyone can eat. I do serve the five-year-old first, but darn it, he’s too polite and wants to wait for everyone at the table.
The thing is, even when I can take my time with my photos, I feel like they’re missing something. Do you feel the same way?
If you live in the Austin area, you’re in luck! The Austin Food Blogger Alliance (disclaimer, I’m on the board) is hosting Photography Camp on September 28! It’s a full day of classes covering everything from choosing your gear to editing the final product.
Plus there is going to be amazing food all day long. We’re talking premium iced coffee, fabulous hot teas, gluten-free cupcakes that are just plain terrific, LOBSTER ROLLS, and a full tapas spread for post-camp happy hour. I’ve gotten a peek at the tapas menu and I am practically drooling. Seriously.
Tickets are now on sale, so go grab one! Plus, AFBA members get a discount, which makes this daylong event a steal.
I hope to see you there, snapping away!
