freezing tomatoes

Summer tomatoes are irresistible! If you have extra on hand, freezing tomatoes is one of the easiest ways to preserve them for months.

Let’s get started!

Wash tomatoes and dry with a clean kitchen towel.

01

Arrange on a lined baking sheet.

02

Place in the freezer and chill until solid. This will take 2 hours or longer.

03

Transfer tomatoes to a freezer-safe bag or container and seal, removing excess air.

04

Thaw when ready to use, and the skins will peel right off!

05

Frozen tomatoes will keep for months. Use within 6 months for best quality.
