Homemade pickled red onions


Bring water, vinegar, sugar, and salt to a boil. Add sliced onions and stir to soften.


Put chosen spices into warmed canning jars.


Funnel softened onions and vinegar mixture into each jar. Run a chopstick around the edges to release air bubbles.


Place on lids and process in a water bath canner, or let cool and store in the refrigerator.

Use on all your favorite tacos and sandwiches!
