Blood Orange Paloma

This twist on the classic paloma cocktail uses blood orange in place of grapefruit.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Ice for serving
  • 2 ounces reposado tequila
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 4 ounces blood orange soda
  • Lime wheels for garnish

Instructions

  • Spread the sugar on a small plate. Wet the rim of a lowball glass by dipping it into a bowl of water. Place the glass upside down on the plate with sugar, gently pressing the sugar onto the rim.
  • Fill the glass halfway with ice.
  • Combine tequila and lime juice ingredients with ice in a shaker and gently shake until very cold. Pour into glass and top with blood orange soda. Garnish with lime wheel or blood orange slice.
