Optional for serving: maple syrupwalnuts, whipped cream, cinnamon, sliced bananas
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla.
Carefully dip the banana bread slices into the mixture, turning to coat well on both sides.
Add butter to the skillet, just enough to cover the bottom when melted.
Cook for approximately 3 minutes, until the bottom of the bread turns golden brown. Flip the banana bread and repeat on the other side. If the butter ever looks like it might be getting too brown, lower the heat to medium-low and briefly remove the pan from the burner.
Transfer to a plate. Serve with optional toppings, if desired.
