Waffles
Friends, waffles, work. Or is it waffles, friends, work? It doesn’t really matter as long as waffles are included in there!
Waffle batter isn’t very different from pancake batter, but waffles just feel more special to me. Maybe it’s all of those little pockets that are perfect for making ponds of butter and syrup, or maybe it’s the crisp exterior.
Doesn’t matter to me which it is, waffles are just plain wonderful.
Waffle irons
My favorite waffle iron is one I received for a Christmas gift years ago. The double waffle maker is so good for making big, fluffy Belgian-style waffles. It also helps speed up the process since you can make two at a time — a big plus when making breakfast for my family.
I also really like the Dash Mini Waffle maker. It makes waffles that are the perfect size for our toaster, so it’s ideal for waffles you want to freeze and store for later.
- Gingerbread waffles are a Christmastime go-to at my house, especially when served with whipped cream.
- Peanut butter and jelly waffles are a hit with the kids. Add some extra jelly on top to serve!
- Waffles are great for dessert, too: try my chocolate waffles with whiskey butter sauce.
